We didn't hear another thing from him the rest of the night.

Copper loved all who came to visit, but only after sniffing every inch of their body. (Those who met him know exactly what I mean) He loved a party as much as anyone and always felt cheated when we took him next door, but he loved when the people next door came to him because it usually meant they were bringing him some tasty steak bones or yummy scraps of some kind.
It is easy to see why dogs are considered man's best friend, they are loyal and love you know matter what. After almost 14 years of having him with us, he will be greatly missed.

Hi Lori and Sherwood! Kathleen here! I woke up this morning (October 9th) and thought to myself 'I think today is Sherwood's birthday". I might be off a day or two but I think I'm pretty close!! Anyway, wanted to say happy birthday to my favorite cousin in the world!:) We had such great times growing up! I still HATE to drive by Aunt Burma's house! I HATE IT! But I love the memories there! Hope you have a happy birthday - even if I didn't get the date exactly right!
p.s. We just lost our 'old' family dog. He was my running buddy. I cried for a week! Sorry about Copper. Cute name for a dog by the way!
We are so sorry. We remember how good natured he was and know that your family loved and adored him.
Lots of Love,
Bart & Jeni
