New Year's Resolutions!!

It is definetly time for a new post, and I thought I would share a few of my New Years resolutions with you....

First...
I am setting a goal to post a new blog at least twice a month, I know that is not very much but I don't want to overwhelm myself.

Second...
Like everyone else I am trying to lose a little weight. A group of us joined weight watchers together my first week I only lost .4 lbs so I am off to a great start.

Third...
This is my year to train for a full marathon. I don't know which marathon I am going to run yet, (it depends on how my training is coming) but I figure if I am going to take the time to do this I better find a neat place to run it. Anyone want to join me?

Fourth...
Get my house organized. I have spent so much time over the past 10-12 years selling closet organizers to other people that I have had no time to get mine organized. I am really looking forward to accomplishing this task.

My list goes on, but I don't want to bore you with all of my shortcomings. I was thinking that by sharing a few of these goals with you it would help me stay on task. An occasional word of encouragement I am sure would be helpful.

I hope you all have a wonderful 2008!!

Hey Lori,
your closet looks like mine!! LOL One of my good friends is training for a marathon (she's already run 2) and she's been trying to tell me that I will love running if I start doing it and running 2 miles to begin with! Ha Ha, I think I could barely run 2 blocks without dying. I'm sure there are lots of great marathons in Portland this summer, and think of how cool (ie not 1000 degrees) it will be here! You could come and visit me. Good luck on your goals.

Ok, I found you a marathon. And it's not till October, so that will give you lots of time to train. I might think about training to run it, or maybe just to walk it. http://portlandmarathon.org/

Ok my friend just told me that the Portland marathon is on Sunday (duh I don't know why I didn't notice that!). But she said that she ran the St. George marathon for her first one, and that it was great and perfect for begginers.

Tara,
Thanks for all the help on finding a marathon, I have looked at the St George and I am sure it would be great the only problem is training here during the summer, ugh, way hot. But you start training and we'll do it together. I am sure we can find something we both like.
