I KNOW, I KNOW, IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!

I have to apologize for my lack of blogging over the past month and a half. I know these are all excuses, but it's the best I can do.
first: There was this TRIP to California with the girls that was so much fun!!

Eating at the Crab Cooker, Not once but twice.
Going to really cute quilting stores, (this is my secret goal in life, to make this)
Eating pizza and salad in Newport Beach.
And of course the whole reason for the trip, THE SWAP MEET! (Kettle Korn anyone?)

SECOND:
We got back from California just in time for Sherwood's big event. Oh yeah, he made me promise no big events.
HAPPY 50TH, SHERWOOD!!!

THIRD:
We participated in the stake family pioneer trek. It was a hard 12 miles, but I am so glad we went, and I really appreciate Sherwood going even though he wasn't excited about it at all.

FOURTH:
Our trip to NAUVOO for my Mom's 75th Birthday! All 7 of her children were there and most of the spouses. It was a memory none of us will forget. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!! It just so happens that on that same day my brother STAN turned 49 and 3 days later I had my birthday. It was really fun to celebrate together.
And yes, I did fall into this fountain in Kansas City, but I was really impressed with their downtown. If you like shopping, you would love this place. Not to mention the pretty fountains that are all over.

FIFTH:
Then we had to prepare for HALLOWEEN. If you don't live in this area you might not realize that Halloween takes some preparation. Not only are there costumes to plan for, and cooking soup and rolls for the neighborhood dinner before the fun, but also buying candy for the 400+ trick-or-treaters is a pretty big task. Most people have a bowl of candy for trick or treaters, (some of our neighbors have to wheel their trick or treat candy out in suitcases. Those full size candy bars take alot of room)
Sherwood was a good sport, you might even say he was "Incredible" to go along with this years costume.
All I can say is, as fun as it was, I am glad to have the busy month of OCTOBER over with.

hallelujah! good job, lori. you really did have an october to remember. i don't know too many people who can pack that much fun into one month - let alone all the other "not so fun" stuff you deal with, too. you're amazing!
